Description

Nineteen-year-old Marion can’t remember anything before waking up in the hospital. All she knows that a lot of people want to kill her. And her would-be assassins are not human…

Vampires are real. So are faeries and angels.

They all want Marion dead.

Surrounded by enemies, Marion turns to Lucas Flynn: a mysterious doctor who seems to know more than he’s letting on. He’s as good with a gun as he is with a scalpel. He fights like a demon but claims that he’s human. And he’s hellbent on protecting Marion.

Lucas claims that Marion is a mage: half-witch, half-angel with terrifying powers that could crack the world. But Marion can’t remember how to cast magic any more than she can remember where she comes from.

Marion must find her identity and her power…before the forgotten sins of her past catch up with her.

A new, fast paced, action intense, urban fantasy, series by S. M. Reine, you’ve got to check this out. Marion has been memory wiped and finds herself woken up in a hospital with Dr. Lucas Flynn as her only hope to find the elusive Seth…a chance to regain her memories. She finds herself in a post apocalyptic world with Vampires, Sidhe and Shifters. It seems everyone around her either wants her dead or to use her for their political gain. Marion just knows that there is something about Lucas that she trusts and leans on him to help her traverse the political mine field she finds herself surrounded by. If I had one complaint about Cast in Angelfire, I felt it ended too soon… I was engulfed by the storytelling and found the book ended way before I wanted it to. I received this copy of Cast In Angelfire from Red Iris Books in exchange for a honest review.

Well, I just don't know how to put this review into words. There are no words to do it justice. It was great! What a complex world. There are so many elements to it that it blows my mind. It would take me ten years to write something this good. I have to admit, in the beginning, Marion drove me so crazy. I wasn't a big fan of her because she seemed like she was arrogant but as you get to know more about her, you understand why. It's all I could do not to peek at the ending. Lol. I had no clue why her memory was gone. I love books with the Fae in them. The autumn court painted a vivid picture in my mind. It is amazing how Sara put it into words that your mind's eye can see. Ooh I think you will really love the doctor, Luke.
