Wow. I wanted so much more from this book. Iād take ten more of these if sheās willing to write them. But I wanted the same for Jean as what Neil got in the end.
Either way, you should read this book.
Jean-Yves Moreau deserves the world

Genuinely donāt know what Nora puts in these books for them to be so all-consuming. 10/10 great read. The trauma and grief in this book will stay with me forever I fear. Someone give Jean a hug.
Five stars is not enough

If Riko Moriyama has zero haters Iām dead. Jeanās dialogue with the Trojans is the funniest thing Iāve read since the one banquet scene where Andrew calls him Jean Valjean. Absolutely amazing I canāt wait for the next one
Perfect

I did not care much about Jean Moreau before this book. I am now heavily invested in his healing and wellbeing.

Was almost sobbing after only the first chapter. Itās so good to get some of our old favorites back (even at a distance), and to get new favorites in characters weāve only been able to guess at. Getting Jeanās point of view from previous events in the original trilogy broke me but was really great at the same time.
Seeing this little french boy trying to heal and rewrite his brain washing is fantastic in the most heartbreaking of ways, and Iām glad heās able to finally has a good support system (even if theyāre also figuring it all out as they go). Cannot wait to, hopefully, get more books to continue this journey with these new main four characters who are so dear to me.
Great spin off Nora.
Itās a demolition. Itās a reclamation. And itās beautiful.

Nora said TSC is āa love story about a boy who couldn't be his own person, learning how to breathe without permission and live without it hurting.ā
And, having had the honor of reading it early, I can attest that it is all she promised and more.
But I also believe itās a story about rebirth. About what happens when youāre at the end of a tightrope that you didnāt tie, and finding ground where there wasnāt any before. About finding so much hope in those around you that it simmers underneath your own skin.
Itās a demolition. Itās a reclamation. And itās beautiful.
I cannot wait for you all to read it. Youāre not ready. And itās exactly what we all need.
Nora Sakavicās writing holds a special place in my heart

Jean always grabbed my attention as a character. I could never get over the tragedy of his story and worse, I couldnāt stop hoping for him to have a kinder future.
I hope Nora knows how grateful I am that she shared this story with us. Thank you for braving the internet and its rabid netizens to gift us nice things. š„¹
I have already read it twice. I am desperate for more and cannot wait for TSC2.
