Description

Angela: I know fear well. It's had me looking over my shoulder since the day I ran from The Pack, Nevada's most dangerous werewolf motorcycle gang. I've had seven years to build a life and my tattoo parlor with the help of my best artist, Jack. But I'm living on borrowed time. My ex-boyfriend may still be in prison, but that won't stop him from getting what he wants — our son.

Jack: I want her, I crave her, but I can never have her. So I wait and watch from the shadows. But when a friend is murdered by the same gang that's threatening Angela, I vow that they will never touch her. Their blood will be mine first.

She's a wolf backed into a corner.
He's a vampire on a tight leash.

Welcome to Dark Ink Tattoo, where needles aren't the only things that bite.

Dark Ink Tattoo is a scorching paranormal in the vein of Sons of Anarchy, with strong sexual situations and bisexual MCs.

Well written and interesting story line but the MCs are definitely not getting together in this one and the story arc continues. Good if you want some spice and don’t care much for the story being complete or continuing into other books

Not really sure what was up with this book. It had no real plot and it was never really resolved. What did happen was dark and weird. Mostly it was just sex. A lot of sex. Where was the vampire/werewolf showdown?

I’ll write this review with an open mind… What would Jack do? Lol... the answer is absolutely ANYTHING really!!! The plot is a little thin, but if I read the next book it wouldn’t be for the plot (wink wink)…

I like the characters and the redemption arcs set out for them. It’s subtle but powerful. The leads are all relatable, human and non human. It was a slow start at first, and you definitely have to be attentive or you’ll miss pieces that seemed random or misplaced (mostly back story pieces). I also like how the leads intersect, it’s beautiful woven. That ending left me waiting for more! I’d give 4.5 stars if possible.

First the disclaimers: this has explicit scenes some m/m so if that’s not your thing then move on to a different book. As to the story it’s on the darker side which kinda fits the vibe of the non touristy side of Vegas. I liked the werewolves and vampires with the old school mob and all set with the backdrop of a tattoo shop. The story is well written and vivid. However I find life to be dark enough I like my romances to be on the lighter side. Is this a good book absolutely it’s just not the book I’m looking for. Your mileage may vary. Have Cassie Alexander not heard of Twilight? Vampires don’t have to sleep in a coffin or sleep at all. They can even go out in the day time. Why would Cassie go back to the old way vampires are more improved now. They can’t protect you if they can’t go out in the day.

Jack works for Angela in her tattoo parlor. Jack is a vampire and Angela is a wolf shifter trying to keep her son hidden from the pack. There are interesting, dangerous, exciting and intriguing happenings and death taking place while secrets are being revealed, but Angela is still trying to make her life look normal while Jack hunts a murderer. Holy hotness and spice!!! I enjoyed getting to know both Angela and Jack, while seeing how their lives intertwine. I love how they’re coming at the same issue of the Pack from different angels and despite knowing each other well, they don’t know the biggest secrets. There’s a LOT of spice, but honestly it felt like it fit the characters. And the variety of the spice… Chefs kiss… There was FFM, MF and MM. So fun. While there was some plot line action, the book was a bit of a setup for the series to come and did a great job of providing some backstory and helps the reader understand what’s really driving each Angela and Jack. I can’t wait for more!
