Description

There are only, in my humble opinion, two kinds of readers. Readers who love your books. and… Readers who don’t know they love your books yet. But how do you reach those readers in the second category, no matter what kind of writer you are? The answer to that question is… Universal Fantasy Universal Fantasy is why my sales tripled when I “accidentally” wrote three books that landed in the Amazon Top 100. Universal Fantasy is why some authors get gobs of gushing reviews and some authors who write “way better” get crickets. Universal Fantasy is the answer to many of the questions you might have thought were unanswerable or simply up to luck, like… • Will this sell? • Why is that selling? • Why didn’t this sell? • Will readers like what I am writing? • Why do I love the TV shows/books/entertainments I do? • Why did I buy that thing I bought when I didn’t intend to buy it? BE WARNED…once known, Universal Fantasy cannot be undiscovered. Leave this book be if you’re truly satisfied with your current writing life. But if you’re not afraid—if you’re ready to know the secret hidden inside all bestselling stories, open this gift and find out how to use UNIVERSAL FANTASY to write and market books that SELL to ANYONE.

Reviews

  • Reads like an infomercial

When several authors I trust mentioned this book after hearing the author talk, my curiosity was piqued. But after trudging through chapter after chapter of “selling” universal fantasies with very little in the way of actual useful or actionable information, I confess myself disappointed. There’s nothing new here that I haven’t seen presented—albeit using different terms—in at least a dozen other craft or marketing books. Maybe a new writer might find something useful here, but authors with a few books written and/or some success in publishing who’ve read a craft book or three are likely to already be familiar with this concept.

I loved this book! I’ve published 13 novels and written many, many more lol and I found this guide to be accurate, insightful, and a really great tool for crafting compelling fiction, and writing eye catching descriptions and ad copy. I will be re-reading this as I outline and craft my next series! Thank you so much.

One of the best craft books for romance authors. Loved reading and learning how to craft better stories and characters.
  • Full of buttery goodness

She tells you straight out what she will deliver, and boy does she deliver on her promises. I know that I will revisit this book time and again because it puts things in a very understandable way. She explains why books hit and flop.
  • Everything’s better with butter...

Okay, so that headline hopefully drew you in. In my defense, the author uses the term butter to mean "IMMENSE GOODNESS." Because seriously, have you ever baked a cake and used too much butter and regretted it? I haven't. I first heard Theodora Taylor speak about Universal Fantasies a little under a year ago, and it changed my writing life. Unfortunately, I have ADHD and so while I took in a lot of what she was saying, a lot of it slipped through the cracks and when I went back to try to apply it, I wasn't quite as adept at it as I'd hoped. Enter 7 Figure Fiction. Now, I have all of this Universal Fantasy goodness at my fingertips to read, re-read, and re-read again as many times as I want or need. And let me tell you...this is a book I will read (or at least skim) probably every time I sit down to start a new writing project for a while. Not only is the book brilliant in its information delivery and inventiveness, but the writing style will make you feel like Ms. Taylor is sitting across from you with a cup of coffee (or tea) and giving you all the mentoring advice you've ever wanted. She's some sort of fairy godmother/big sister/best-teacher ever complete with jokes and pop culture references and plenty of references to butter. If I could give this book ten stars, I would. I will be buying this for a lot of my author friends the moment it's released. Disclosure: I received an advance copy of this book with no obligation to leave a review. The book was so good, I bought a copy within five minutes of finishing the advance copy.
