Description

Honey, Does This Taste Like Poison To You?

I've never been a fan of murder. The mess, the smell, the whole hiding the body thing after - it always seemed like way too much work. But trust me, when you're married to Richard Morningstar, that "work" starts to feel an awful lot like "play". The man is a snake and king of the fairies.

A barbarian. A war monger. A sex god. Uh, I mean a...an ex pod? Doesn't matter.

The point is, it's either him or me. Because one of us is going to die, and at the moment, it's my execution scheduled in three weeks. So I just have to figure out a way to kiss him - kill him - before then, take his throne, and turn his whole nightmarish kingdom upside down. Easy right?

Maybe - if he wasn't my lifemate.

And if my panties didn't drop every time he snapped his stupid fingers.

I couldn’t put the book down! The characters are carefully crafted and each have a meaningful purpose that every time they make an appearance, you are drawn in to see what they are going to do. There were many moments in the book where I genuinely laughed with the characters and cried with them. The added bonus being the naughty scenes with the king 🥵
  • Easy Read

I thought this book was very enjoyable. I liked the authors sense of humor. Only 2 of the many sexy interactions were to intense for me. I look forward to the next book. I need more Jace and Fabia.

this is one of those books that i came across on tiktok and immediately was intrigued. perfect balance of smutty and story line, which is a fine line to walk. it’s not hard to love the characters in the book, and even develop a soft spot for the ones you shouldn’t. the ending has me itching for book 2. can’t wait to read what’s next!

I think the world the author created might be really cool, I just wish we could experience it a little more and it was built up a little more. I really liked the characters and relationship but everything just felt a bit rushed. I might read the next one just to follow the characters a little longer.

This is the first book I’ve read this year that has combined the perfect amount of humor, bloodshed, and spice! (Trust me I’ve read over 100!) It combines relatable, human world elements to the primal and chaotic world of the far, all while never making you feel that it’s out of place! I laughed out loud so many times, and spent the rest spinning with intrigue and sexy feels. The characters. Oh mannnn, they have so much personality and depth. Even our main girl, who is often ditzy, naive and playful, shines in her spotlight has the Queen! I can’t wait to read the coming installments. Seriously can’t get enough!
