In this book “A Trip to Nangchen” I am presenting a popular work about the quest for Enlightenment and how Tantra views the passion of desire. It is a topic important to Tantric practitioners because often desire is seen merely as a means for attaining a desireless state. Yet if we look at it from the perspective of an instantaneous path, like with the view of Dzogchen then essentially with the right weight or power of wisdom, expressing desire is already Enlightenment. Core to this discussion are thoughts that I have about the worship of women and breaking taboo in Tantra. Other works on topic explain the problem as soteriological differences - differences in method for attaining whatever specific aims respective views call for. If one approaches secondary literature produced by Western scholars on Tantra then quickly their matrix for meaning making via lens and context reveals itself to be as important as whatever source text they may be translating or analyzing. Thus, since it is common to adopt a lens when researching Buddhism, I pick the Heuristic methodology.
