Description

You've Got Mail meets Grey's Anatomy in this sweet slow-burn, virtual meet-cute romance.

There’s so much going on in Anna’s life. Teaching countless hours at the studio and nurturing the three major relationships of her life – her group of tight-knit friends, all while attempting to not screw up this whole adulthood thing leaves very little time to waste on yet another dating app. At this point, a relationship is off the menu. Being “self-partnered” is more than enough.

A serious relationship has been crossed off Liam Brody’s list of goals, at least for the foreseeable future. Completing his residency and becoming a trauma surgeon is his only priority. Casual relationships, his friends, and books are the only things he’s willing to lose his precious free time to.

When an accidental email starts a deep online connection, both Liam and Anna dive in with zero concern . . . because there’s really no harm in getting close to someone who you’ll never meet in real life, right?

Wrong.

When a turn of events brings their “safe” virtual connection to an unexpected face-to-face, Anna and Liam learn their online chemistry pales in comparison to the real deal. A realization that brings along the bazillion-dollar question – what do you do when you meet The One at the most impossibly wrong time?

** by Mist@ke is book 1 in a standalone series with connected characters, but independent storylines.

I loved this book I couldn’t even sleep until I finished it and am so glad Liam and Anna made it back to each other and didn’t have to give up either of their dream goals

Anna is busy and does not have time for anything. Liam is studying and has no time for anything else. They meet in the most unusual way, accidentally through an email. So a virtual relationship is good for them and it gets hot. Then what happens when they meet? I thought Anna and Liam were good characters and all her friends were funny and interesting. I liked the book. The story itself was good. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really liked this story! Loved Anna, her attitude and her chickens! But I found quite a few proofreading errors that were hard to ignore.

Enjoyed reading this book. It had everything, especially humor! The characters were great and the setting was good. I have it 4 1/2 stars. A little disjointed in spots, but otherwise good.

Anna and Liam’s messages are cute and her friend circle made for a fun read despite this book still needing polish. Images are not formatted for dark mode, which is a feature on most eBook apps. An assortment of capitalization, spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors are sprinkled throughout, some too consistent to be typos i.e. the author doesn’t capitalize “mom” when used in place of a proper noun. The author struggles to paint pictures with words and ends up with some awkward descriptors and over-explained actions and events. Anna’s sticky note exercise would have been more powerful if the author simply let the moment speak for itself instead of imbedding Anna’s internal thoughts throughout it. The discussions surrounding sustainable eating is oversimplified and misleading, reducing the issue to a matter of choice, when the reality is that depending on where you live and your economic circumstances, adopting a healthy plant-based diet is a privilege and not accessible to a lot, if not most, people. Also, contrary to Anna’s beliefs, everyone produces testosterone, not just males, and Anna should’ve known Liam was at least in the same time zone and not across the Atlantic early on because she commented on the ungodly timestamp on Liam’s response, which he confirmed.

First time reading this author, I would read her again. Not filled with dirty words or continuous sex scenes. Kept me interested, liked the characters.

Liam and Anna are hooked by an errant email, which opens them up to becoming sort of pen pals, electronically. Meeting and falling hard for each other causes situations that are not handled very well. Close friends provide the support needed. Six weeks apart while he is on Doctors Without Borders, really tests their feelings and emotions. The characters and storyline were terrific. Twists and lies told to protect fall flat in the relationship. Loved the ending and can not wait for more from this author.

When Anna receives a misdirected email she responds back to let the sender know his error. Little did she realize how that one mistake would change her life. Starting up a conversation with the mystery recipient of his wayward email shouldn’t have had him looking forward to their daily chats. Loved all the characters in this story. Can’t wait to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
