The is a great book, exceptionally well researched and written offering amazing insight into the general on personal and professional level. The book provides extremely valuable instruction on what made Rosen such a great “lead from the front” general. The book reads like a novel from Mailer, Wouk or Follett. I most strongly recommend it to military professional and civilian alike. CAPT L. B. Gordon USN (Ret.).

Great book detailing the command and control of a Armored Division in combat. Must read for future Division Commanders.

I had a very hard time reading this, so much unnecessary detail. Overall a great story about the 3rd Armored, but a much better book on the subject is “Spearhead “ by Adam Makos. Just a pleasure to read. If you read both you’ll see what I mean.
