Lots of character development in the beginning, but once you get into it you are hooked. Packed with a plot that keeps you guessing throughout.

The first 400 pages are agonizing- so many names and world building. But STICK WITH IT!! The sexual tension is incredible. There’s some spice but no where near her Silver Flames book. The ending is NON. STOP. The plot twists, the betrayal, the action. SJM is for the girls and we are HERE FOR IT

Just amazing I think I went through every emotion I could muster!! The book hit all the spots for me.

If you want to finish, just know it takes until around chapter 87 to get going… commit or you might DNF it! I had too, but overall, she built a complex, interesting world so I’m interested to give the second one a shot!

Purchased the book months ago and took me months just to get through the first few chapters. The lay of the land in the beginning was thick but omggggg as soon as I got through it I couldn’t put it down! I was hooked! I laughed, I giggled and I cried! What took me months to begin took me a few days to finish! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Was so on the fence to start this series because the other two were so fantastic and this did not miss!!

This is by far my favorite book from Sarah J. Maas. Beautiful world and character building— the first time I’ve cried reading a fantasy novel. Cannot wait to read the second book.

Loved the book but cried so much. It was very different from her other books but was still good. I don’t really like who she ends up with and would definitely prefer that Conner and her ended up together somehow but was still a good read.

SJM has don’t it again, this book kept me on my toes and I can’t wait to continue on this journey of CC

It’s so good and I was so entranced by this book that I didn’t even realized I had been walking on the stair climber for 35 minutes until my sister called me and interrupted my reading.
