When I read this book I knew that the relationship between Mike, Tom and Elizabeth was going to go through some changes. The murder brings about many changes.
From the past a mystery or in this case a wrong will be right but not in the way it should be. A young woman was murder and the killer got off. But in the end his murder will answer many questions but you may not like who the killer is. Lots of secrets are uncovered and there are twists to this story. I really like the Tom’s daughter, Tamantha tells Elizabeth to fix it. Well she and the team does find the person who killed York along with many other things.
An excellent story but the ending is going to surprise you. I loved the book and look forward to the next storyh!

I have read every book in Patricia McLinn's "Caught Dead in Wyoming" series. Every one has been an excellent read, that I hated to finish. I will throw in an admission here: Old retired curmudgeon cops aren't supposed to like books with much romance in them. I could say that the romance is held to a minimum, making it acceptable. That wouldn't be completely true. I found myself as interested in the romantic tension between the characters as in the mystery itself. I always look forward to McLinn's next book and get it as soon as it is available.

I liked the book a lot but sometimes had to re-read pages that the understanding wasn’t really clear. I am distraught that Micheal Paycik is who she would chose as a love interest...maybe a younger brother image. Tom is definitely the man for her. I hope the next book will change that! I wish we could get the next book before May of next year! This is by far your best series! Hope to see more of them quickly!! It is so hard to keep up between a series this far between times.
