Description

A USA Today bestselling stand-alone romance in the Brooklyn Bruisers world!
Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.
Three years ago I met the most amazing woman. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.
But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.
While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.
But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date. She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.
Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing for keeps.

"Silas is magic! Superfan is why we read romance! Go ahead and swoon for yourself."- New York Times bestselling author Lauren Blakely

I absolutely loved this story. Solis deserved to find happiness in his life as well as Delilah. I can’t wait for the next book.

Wow! Just Wow! I really loved this book. I have to admit that I'm a sucker for strong men who aren't afraid to act on / verbalize their crushes .... and this one has that at a 10 out of 10! The storyline is much more than the "don't hate me because I'm beautiful" plot that is typical romance. This has a well thought out plot with characters who are struggling to both overcome their own challenges and come together to have a life that is more than they could have thought. Silas and Delilah meet when each is struggling with achieving their dreams. They flirt harmlessly, realizing that it could be something more ... but all that takes a back seat as each one focuses on their careers. Later, each is successful in their own right, as Delilah faces challenges from a former beau and manager. Silas has never forgotten her and has become her biggest (and most silent) fan. That changes when she agrees to a date, set up by his friends. The date starts to turn into more, with Silas realizing that he needs to lay it on the line if he's going to move from being a fan to something more. For me, the dialogue is sigh-worthy. Silas very openly courts Delilah and his soul-baring ways will renew your romantic spirit. This is my second Sarina Bowen book, but it won't be my last. It immediately went on my "re-read" shelf and has become a favorite when I needed an escape with familiar characters. Download this book! You won't be sorry. I purchased this book and loved it so much that I felt it important to write a review! Big Sarina Bowen fan!!!

I think that Sarina could write a text book for some boring subject and I would drop everything and eat it up. She has once again out done herself with Silas’ story and Superfan! The Brooklyn Bruisers series continues with this latest installment; Superfan; featuring the Bruisers second string goalie Silas. And fans finally get an understanding into his infatuation with upcoming rock star Delilah Stark. Teased for his burgeoning love of the up and coming rockstar, Silas hasn’t shied away from his continuing support of her success. Little did the reader know that he knew her before she’d made a name for herself. Sarina and her cast of characters, along with her well developed and relatable storytelling is what draws readers in; it’s what draws me in. I am vested in her story and the lives presented throughout. I want to know what happens next, so I continue to turn the page. While Superfan can be read as a standalone, anyone wanting to dive into a wonderfully written sports romance won’t be sorry with starting this series from the start. Dive head first into the Brooklyn Bruisers organization, you won’t be sorry.

Let’s see, what do I like about this book? Well that’s easy, EVERYTHING! It had all the good stuff I have come to love and expect from a Sarina Bowen book. Superfan is such a sweet love story about these two amazing characters, Silas Kelly and Delilah Sparks, that is a few years in the making. It is at it’s core an adorable and romantic second chance love story that just happens to be about a hockey player and a pop/rock star. It is entertaining, fun, charming, witty, sexy and even a little suspenseful. There is a lot going on! The chemistry between Silas and Delilah is off the charts!! I was rooting for them all the way!! Silas is such a sweetie! He is not one of those full of himself athletes that relishes in all the ladies throwing themselves at him. Nope, Silas is not like that at all and that is what made him so darn easy to love! He has had such a crush on Delilah Sparks for years and his teammates know it and tease him about it all the time! (I love the cameos with the teammates and their women in this book) Delilah is sweet and down to earth and not at all a diva pop star. She does have some trust issues due to something that happened to her in her past, but Silas is aware and tries to help her. They both have successful careers going for them now, but that wasn’t the case when they first met. Now 3 years later, fate (or rather seeing Delilah on TV during a hockey game he was watching) allows Silas to reach out to her (in such a cute way I might add ❤️) and try and get another chance with her. And then it’s on! I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed reading book!! I am so thankful to have received an early ARC!

Superfan was the blending of so many of my favorite tropes - second chance romance, sports, rock star, and even a touch of suspense thrown in for good measure. I couldn't wait to find out more about good guy Silas and what his story was with Delilah Spark. This is part of the Brooklyn Bruisers series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone. I do recommend reading the previous books, however, because they're awesome and also because characters from those books do appear throughout the series. Silas was just as wonderful as I thought he would be and more. He was sweet and thoughtful, but also assertive when he needed/wanted to be. There was a gentleness and vulnerability to him that I found so endearing, but what I really loved was how well he listened and how patient he was. Yes, there were times he was unsure and nervous, but he was confident enough to give Delilah the control and independence she so desperately needed. I loved that he was all in from the very start and that devotion never wavered. It took a bit for Delilah to grow on me, but I really felt like she had the biggest transformation in the book. She matured so much and went from a naive and somewhat helpless young woman to a more independent and confident one. I really enjoyed seeing her come into her own and take control of her life. She did make some questionable decisions, but I felt like by the end she was working to make better choices in the future. Delilah and Silas were adorkably sweet, but also very sexy. I would have loved to have more history between them though to warrant the Delilah obsession by Silas. They certainly had chemistry, but I'm not the biggest fan of instalove and this seemed to go from zero to sixty in record time. I understand that their relationship was never going to follow a conventional timeline, but I still would have liked to see and feel them reconnect more after so many years apart. I'm also not entirely sure why Silas never reached out to Delilah in all that time, considering how they had left things. The drama with Brett and the suspenseful aspect of the story didn't entirely work for me and the resolution to it was a bit abrupt and almost too neatly tied together. I did love seeing all the Bruisers again though and that they played such a big role in setting things in motion. The nuptials that take place in the book had me squealing (I will NEVER tire of that couple!) and were such a treat! The epilogue left me with a huge smile on my face and it was the perfect way to bring Silas and Delilah's story full circle. A wonderful addition to the series! *I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*
