I was interested in reading this after seeing the protagonist is on the spectrum and it seemed like a nice change from other romance type novels. Well this, was painful. I got through chapter 6 and reading it was like a chore and it drug on with no points that enticed me to read any further. I’ll be more cautious when checking out the author’s other books

Ruth is hilarious. Say it like it is, no fux given. What separates Talia from other authors, she gives you reality with her stories. No cookie cut outs anywhere in her novels.

This was a great book! And so refreshing to finally have a Black female lead in a book. I love when I find new authors and I can’t wait to read the next book. Very good story with a lot of background development. I loved when Ruth finally told what happened before. I wish Hayley would have apologized to Ruth though. They were friends and I understand being loyal to your sister but she was hurtful. At least it seemed like Maria was trying to reach back out. I wanted more of everything. And I really wanted Daniel to be kicked out of the town or something lol overall really great book.
