Run and do not stop at go to read this book. I was unfamiliar with this writer and have found a new favorite. Well written, suspense, class struggles, honesty, and depiction of overcoming adversity all wrapped together in this story. I loved Ethan the weaver who captures Lady Helen’s heart. He shows her that goodness and compassion matched by wit and hard work is the way to judge a man and not his origins or job. Well worth reading this book and other works by this author.

This was a pleasure to read. Well crafted characters that leave you wanting to get to know more. Can’t wait to read the second book in this series.

There was no way I could finish the book with such a nasty person. I would have really enjoyed it otherwise.
  • A very talented writer!

I was hooked from the very first page! It is lovely to discover an author whose work you thoroughly enjoy and even lovelier to discover there are many other novels by the same talented writer waiting to be read. “The Weaver Takes a Wife” was an enchanting little story whose characters are mostly, immensely likable with a loathsome cad or two thrown in for good measure. Happily anticipating reading the rest of this delightful series as well as all the other books by Sheri Cobb South.

I liked that from chapter to chapter the characters and the story didn’t jump around like a lot of modern writers. Much easier to understand and enjoy the story.
