So I was so surprised finding out that the family did do what Maya said they did and I could not understand the mother psychiatrist be so deceptive. And then the whole whole family or sneaky and deceptive I was so surprised to find out that Maya did kill her husband because he killed her sister, and if she had not removed that firing pin, he would have killed her as well.

I love this book so much that five is literally the lowest rating I could ever rate it.
Too many details for me

I have no idea why I finished this book. Possibly I kept waiting for it to be as good as author’s other books.

Very good read. Never expected the ending. Not what I imagined it would be. That’s the best part……
Name? Name?

I enjoyed the pace and plot of this book, but there was something random that really started to bother me about halfway in. During EVERY conversation, the characters would randomly insert the name of the person they’re speaking to in the form of a question. It was excessive and unnatural, like the literary equivalent of a verbal pause.
Example-
Maya: I think we should go to the grocery store.
Shane: Maya?
Maya: What?
Shane: No.
Detective: Did you kill your husband?
Maya: Detective?
Detective: Yes?
Maya: No I didn’t.
I understand this is a crazy gripe, but it was so frequent that it really started to bother me. The fact that I finished the book speaks volumes to how interesting and engaging the plot was.
